Connor glared a the man with the gun. Great. Not only was he trying to wrangle a Slayer, but now he had this big dude with a gun to deal with.
"Uh... Hi."
The guy sounded a little uncertain. Hesitant. Okay, not a spy. Still, who was he?
"Sorry to interrupt... whatever the hell this is, but... What the hell IS this?"
Apparently this guy didn't know what was going on. That was weird. Had Glory brought in somebody else without mentioning it to him?
Faith looked back at him then answered the guy.
"I'm not sure exactly. I think Connor here is the one that seems to have a clue. However, what is a guy like you doing lurking in a cemetery with a gun?"
Connor waited for him to respond. That was a good question.

Sam looked between the two of them as Faith turned to Connor.
"I'm not sure exactly. I think Connor here is the one that seems to have a clue." That wasn't surprising. Faith had seemed pretty confused herself. Sam glanced at Connor, then frowned at Faith as she continued.
"However, what is a guy like you doing lurking in a cemetery with a gun?" Sam wrinkled his brow. A guy like him? What was that supposed to mean?
"I'm wondering how the hell I was in a cemetery in North Dakota five minutes ago, and now I'm in Sunnydale, apparently? With a... Slayer and a boyscout talking about a Hell-god?" He glared at Connor.
"What exactly is a Hell-god?" Maybe it wasn't exactly smart to go blurting out all the information he'd over-heard, but Sam didn't really care much about being smart or careful. He didn't want to skirt around things. He didn't have the patience for that these days. He wanted answers, and he wanted to get back where he belonged.

FaithFaith frowned and then narrowed her eyes as the man said he was in North Dakota and then found himself in Sunnydale with her and Connor. It was obvious that he was pulled here just like she was and he'd been here long enough to overhear there conversation, which also meant he saw them fighting. Who was this guy? Lurking in the shadows? Faith was thoroughly confused now.
Connor had said that Glory had brought her there on purpose because he had asked her to. Had he been brought there on purpose too? Why didn't Connor know about it then? Did someone else bring him in? Who could be that powerful besides Glory? She sighed and pushed her own questions to the back of her mind for the moment. Trying to focus on what she could actually ask this guy.
"So... you were in a Cemetery in North Dakota before you got here? Uh... Did you see like some weird flashy light thing? I mean... Oddly enough... I just happened to be in a cemetery in North Dakota before I got here. The ground opened up underneath me, I saw this flash of light and then when I crawled out... I found Connor standing there... But... I didn't see you in that other cemetery. I was alone, I'm sure of it."
Faith looked back and forth between the two men. Hoping that one of them might be able to shed some light on the situation. It seemed like Connor might be the one for those answers, but the fact that this guy supposedly was in the same area she was when all this happened. That couldn't have been just a coincidence. No way. That had to mean something.

When Faith asked what he was doing lurking in the cemetery with a gun, the guy got surprisingly chatty.
"I'm wondering how the hell I was in a cemetery in North Dakota five minutes ago, and now I'm in Sunnydale, apparently? With a... Slayer and a boyscout talking about a Hell-god? What exactly is a Hell-god?"
Connor frowned slightly whent the guy called him a boyscout, but he didn't say anything. He could've come up with a clever nick name for this creeper, too, but running your mouth to a guy with a gun wasn't a good idea - demon spawn or not.
Luckily, Faith spoke up before Connor had to give him an answer.
"So... you were in a cemetery in North Dakota before you got here? Uh... Did you see like some weird flashy light thing? I mean... Oddly enough... I just happened to be in a cemetery in North Dakota before I got here. The ground opened underneath me, I saw this flash of light and then when I crawled out... I found Connor standing there... But... I didn't see you in that other cemetery. I was alone, I'm sure of it."
Connor wrinkled his brows. That was weird that they were both in the same area before they ended up there. From what Connor knew about dimensional portals, they could be tricky. It wasn't always possible to control what came in and out of them. He wondered if this guy had gotten pulled in here on purpose or if he'd just sort of gotten sucked in as an after effect.
Crap, he thought. He was already having enough trouble figuring out how to get Faith to Glory before the guy with the gun showed up.

Sam looked over at Faith when she talked to him. He really wanted to get some answers from this Connor punk, but Faith wanted answers too.
"So... you were in a cemetery in North Dakota before you got here?" He nodded.
"Uh... Did you see like some wierd flashy light thing? I mean... Oddly enough... I just happened to be in a cemetery in North Dakota before I got here." Sam thought about it as she continued, telling him she'd gotten sucked into the ground then crawled back out wherever they were now to see Connor standing there. He glanced at the guy again before turning back to Faith.
"Were you at Rosewater Cemetery?" he asked. He hadn't seen anyone either, that he'd known of, but he also hadn't gotten very far before that flash of light had happened. He did remember that. He just hadn't thought much of it at the time.

FaithFaith thought for a few seconds. Forgetting about Connor for the moment and focusing on the stranger.
"Yeah... Rosewater Cemetery... That's the place."
Furrowing her brow, Faith ran both hands through her hair. Rubbing the top of her head as she tried to process the information.
Turning her attention back to Connor she gave him a stern questioning look.
"OK Connor... What the hell is this? So Weird shit is going on, but I can understand if I was brought in because you asked Glory to bring me in. How the hell do you explain THIS GUY and how he got here?"
Pausing, she realized that they didn't know this guy's name even though he knew their's since he had been watching them. Folding her arms over her chest she cocked her head to the side.
"Alright, I think we need to figure a few things out here. But, before we go to far, you already know I'm Faith and this is Connor. Who are you? What do you do? That could be helpful, considering this is obviously a highly unusual situation."

Connor was thinking while the other two were talking. He supposed Glory could've brought this other guy in to join their team. It wasn't like she had to tell Connor what she was doing. But, if this guy was going to pop up in the same place she was sending Connor to get Faith, why wouldn't she have given him a heads up? The new guy also seemed pretty confused and freaked out, though. Was Connor supposed to brief him, or something?
Then he went back to the theory that the guy just got sucked into a portal along with Faith if he was in the wrong place at the right time.
His gaze snapped over to Faith when she spoke.
"OK Connor... What the hell is this? So weird shit is going on, but I can understand if I was brought in because you asked Glory to bring me in. How the hell do you explain THIS GUY and how he got here?"
Connor looked over at the new guy and shrugged. He didn't know what the deal with this guy was.
"Alright," Faith continued, turning her attention to the guy with the gun, "I think we need to figure a few things out here. But, before we go too far, you already know I'm Faith and this is Connor. Who are you? What do you do? That could be helpful, considering this is obviously a highly unusual situation."
Connor folded his arms across his chest and looked at the other guy. Knowing who he was could definitely help figure out how he'd gotten there or why.

Faith turned to Connor and asked the question Sam was most concerned with: How had Sam gotten here? Sam looked at Connor, waiting for an answer, but Connor just shrugged. Sam clenched his teeth. There was no way he was going to believe this guy didn't know what was going on here. Not with the way he'd been talking. Then Faith spoke to Sam.
"But, before we go too far, you already know I'm Faith and this is Connor." Sam nodded.
"Who are you? What do you do? That could be helpful, considering this is obviously a highly unusual situation."
"I'm Sam," he said. "Uh, what do I do? Like, for work?" He scratched his head.
"I'm kind of between jobs right now. Just traveling, mostly." That was all they needed to know for now. Especially the boyscout. He had a feeling Faith might have been some kind of hunter, but this Connor guy didn't seem to be on the right side of things.
"Uh, is somebody going to explain the whole 'Hell-god' thing?" He looked to each of them, not really caring who answered the question, but if somebody didn't answer soon he was going to get cranky.

FaithFaith sighed, well at least she knew his name now. Sam, she didn't have to call him 'that guy' anymore. But, he was definitely being cryptic with what he he did. Admittedly, that could be a tricky question, Faith could relate to that. She decided to come back to that later at some point.
Giving a little glance over to Connor, he didn't seem to know either how come this Sam person ended up there. Even though she wasn't sure if she could trust anyone, she didn't think he was lying to her about that. His expression and body language told her that he seemed to be trying to figure out what was going on as well, like maybe something had gone wrong. Faith focused on Sam's question instead for now. Well, he didn't seem too freaked out about all of this, it appeared that he simply wanted some answers. They weren't going to get anywhere if they didn't at least share some pertinent information.
"Well, a hell god, uh... hmmmm. Pretty much what the name implies. Very powerful, fairly nasty and in this case a royal bitch. I only know what I've been told about this one. Her name is Glory, she uh... I guess you could say had a run in with a friend of mine awhile back. Didn't end well for either one of them. She's badass and trust me, I know a little bit about being badass. We thought she was gone though, obviously we were wrong about that. Which, in my world isn't that unusual. How and why she's here and brought in Connor and me, all I know is what Connor has said so far. She's recruiting... She brought Connor in to help her... Now they want me to help them... But, the hell with that. I'm not going to have anything to do with this hell-bitch. She has to be up to something and it can't be good."
Faith stopped, she had started to ramble and wasn't sure if she was really telling him that much. Really, she still just wanted to get out of there, she needed a drink and some time to think. She had no clue what was going to happen as Connor had seemed determined to get her to go with him, even after they had fought.

Connor listened as Faith explained Glory to Sam. Connor didn't actually know a lot about Glory either. Angel had only told him a minimal amount of information, and he'd seen some of Glory's power first-hand. He didn't want to side with her in whatever it was she was planning. He was just a tool to her. He knew that. It wasn't exactly a new position for him. But, he wasn't being given a choice here. Either he sided with her - or, at least made her thing he was siding with her - or she killed him and found someone else, and trapped more people in this place.
No. He needed to keep working this angle. Stay on the inside, and pay close attention to everything. Eventually, he'd have enough information to formulate a plan and either get the hell out of there, or take her down. Any information Faith could provide would help.
Unfortunately, Faith didn't seem to know any more than he did about the Hell-god herself. He wondered if she knew how Buffy had defeated her. He knew it had something to do with a blood ritual, and that Buffy'd had to sacrifice herself to save Dawn, but he needed details. But, it wasn't like he could just come out and ask without giving himself away. You don't know who's watching, he reminded himself. Stay cool. Keep up the act.
"See, there's your problem," he said, smiling. "You're assuming Glory has some diabolical plan going here. It's not like that."
He started circling Faith and Sam casually, slowly, making sure not to make any sudden movements. He may have been demon-spawn, but he wasn't Superman. He couldn't deflect bullets.
"Glory was perfectly happy in her home dimension until she got kicked out," he said. "And she's been trying to find a home ever since then. And that's all this is. She made herself a new home and she's looking for some V.I.P.'s to share it with. What's evil about that?"
God, he sounded like a douchebag. He hoped he sounded convincing in case anyone was spying on him, but he also hoped he didn't. He really didn't want a Slayer thinking he was an evil errand boy, and if she picked up on the fact that he was just playing a role, maybe she'd be able to help him.

Sam listened carefully to Faith, glancing over at Connor now and then to make sure he wasn't doing anything stupid. He didn't trust this guy. He didn't really trust Faith either, but at least she seemed to want answers as much as he did. According to her, this Hell-god's name was Glory, and she was 'badass.' They thought she was gone, but apparently that wasn't true.
Really, she didn't tell him a hell of a lot. Either she didn't know much about Glory, or she and Connor were both hiding something.
Sam gripped the handle of his gun as Connor spoke up. He hoped he'd say something useful, but as he circled around them he just seemed to be trying to downplay Glory's plans. But, Sam did learn one thing. Glory was from a different dimension - which took Sam a second to wrap his head around. As Connor talked, his words started to make some kind of sense.
"Wait, so this thing... created this place we're in now?" he asked. He'd heard what Connor said, and he'd processed it. He just wasn't sure he believed it. He'd seen the unexplainable. He fought creatures out of nightmares and horror movies on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. He knew demons were real. He knew ghosts were real. He was pretty sure Hell was real, though these days he hoped it wasn't.
But, he'd never actually thought about where all these things came from. If Hell was real, it had to exist somewhere outside the human world.
He shook his head. He didn't want to think about this. His expression hardened and he focused his gaze on Connor. This was the answer man, and for Connor's sake, Sam hoped he'd start talking. Otherwise, things were going to get ugly.

FaithFaith stood staring at Connor as he spoke. Then he started to circle and that made her nervous. She tried to keep her eye on him but was trying to think things through as well. Plus, then there was stranger dude, Sam, with a gun. Even though he seemed not to be a danger to her at the moment, big guy with gun was just someone you didn't turn your back on.
Faith narrowed her eyes in thought. Connor was starting to sound strange. The tone of his voice seemed different. He was trying to convince them that Glory wasn't evil? When Sam asked the question, Faith nodded her head and stretched out her arms in front of her with her palms out, in a kind of 'stop' for a second signal.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa... Back this train up Hell Boy."
Faith eyed Connor suspiciously now. It just didn't make sense. Connor HAD to know how dangerous Glory was. He of all people.
"Glory, MADE this place? So this is like... uh... hello... a hell dimension or something? Oh... and no... no... Glory doesn't have a diabolical plan?! What the hell is wrong with you Connor! Of course she has a fucking diabolical plan! She's freakin' evil, with a capital 'E'!"
Faith began to do a little pacing back and forth of her own. Looking back and forth, still keeping both of the men in her view. Then she thought about Sam and how he must be even more throughly confused. Not even caring about what Connor thought, because at the moment it appeared Connor was slightly insane.
"OK... Sam, right? Connor here, knows a little bit about hell dimensions. He lived in one. So... I don't know why he's taking this whole thing so lightly at the moment."
Faith paused and glared at Connor. Daring him to contradict her. Then she turned back to Sam and continued.
"Glory, is one of the most power things we have ever encounter. Ok, well I personally didn't go up against her but still. She took down a Slayer and trust me, that's no easy thing. Glory was weakened and well there is this whole thing with her having to go back into the body of this human dude that these monks trapped her in, then Giles, he's the watcher... Well, he figured when Ben died, so did Glory. APPARENTLY, that was completely wrong."
Faith stopped again for a moment, as something dawned on her. The wheels spinning in her brain. Looking back up at Sam she spoke a little slower and a little quieter.
"In fact though, Buffy did die, she sacrificed herself... holy christ... by jumping through a fucking portal into the hell dimension! That's what happened to us! That's how we got here... The whole, bright flashy light thing. A fucking portal."
That was it. This may not exactly be a fire and brimstone hell dimension, but it was definitely some kind of alternate dimension. Well, that much they already knew... But, if there was a way in... Especially if someone like Sam got pulled in by accident... There could be portals... They would just have to find one... or figure out how to open one. Like that would be fucking easy, yeah right. Shit... Faith felt like she knew a good chunk of the story, but there were still two things that were a problem. One, why was Connor so on board the Glory train? And two, she had no idea how to find or create a portal, that was some major mojo right there.

Faith looked like she thought Connor belonged in a straightjacket. That was good. At least he was playing his part well. Now he just had to keep it up.
Her overall reaction was similar to what Connor's had been when Glory pitched this to him. Her first assumption was that this was a Hell dimension. That had been what Connor thought, too. Now he wasn't so sure.
As Faith began to pace, Connor continued to circle around her and Sam, who still looked confused.
"Ok... Sam, right? Connor here, knows a little bit about hell dimensions. He lived in one. So... I don't know why he's taking this whole thing so lightly at the moment."
Connor stopped walking and blinked at her. Was that really a piece of information the civilian with a gun needed to know? He understood Faith's frustration. He was feeling it too on some level. He was getting tired of being yanked in and out of alternate dimensions.
He was surprised to hear Faith launch into a hasty and scattered explanation. He imagined Sam was only further confused, but Connor listened carefully. There was something about Glory being trapped in a human body. He wondered if he could look into that without being obvious.
And then Faith seemed to have an epiphony, realizing they'd been dragged through a portal.
Connor clapped his hands slowly and smiled.
"Give the lady a prize!"
He chuckled and leaned against a tombstone.
"I'm not sure why you ended up crawling out of a grave, though. That was kind of weird."
He shoved his hands in his pockets and shrugged at Sam.
"And I have no idea why you're here. I'm just supposed to pick up Faith and bring her back to Glory. Speaking of which, she's going to start to get cranky if we don't show up soon. So, what are we doing?"
He looked at Faith.
"Are you coming with me, and are we bringing this guy with us?" he asked, nodding to Sam.

Sam watched Connor carefully. He didn't like that he was moving around. But then Faith called the place a Hell dimension and he frowned. This didn't look like Hell to him. It was too suburban.
"Okay... Sam, right?" Sam looked at Faith. "Connor here, knows a little bit about hell dimensions. He lived in one." Sam's frown deepened. There was more than one Hell dimension? And this guy had been to one? That didn't make any sense.
As Faith tried to explain, Sam thought of more questions. What was a Slayer? What was that thing about her having to go into a human body? Did she not have a human body? That could mean a spirit or a demon...
Faith went on about someone sacrificing herself and portals. What the hell was she talking about?
Sam turned sharply to face Connor as he started clapping.
"Give the lady a prize!" Sam gripped the handle of his gun more tightly. What was this guy's damage?
"And I have no idea why you're here," Connor said. "I'm just supposed to pick up Faith and bring her back to Glory. Speaking of which, she's going to start to get cranky if we don't show up soon. So, what are we doing? Are you coming with me, and are we bringing this guy with us?" Sam gritted his teeth and raised the gun to aim it at Connor.
"No one is bringing anybody anywhere." Sam took a few measured steps closer to Connor, keeping the gun aimed at him.
"Apparently you know something about, uh... dimension hopping." He stopped just in front of the man, positioning the business end of the gun beneath Connor's chin.
"I don't know how or why I'm here, but you're gonna drop this Cuckoo's Nest crap and tell me, or I'm gonna put a bullet in your head." It wasn't until the words came out of his mouth that he realized how gruff they sounded. Christ, I sound like Dean...

Faith Faith was still pondering her own thoughts, on being pulled into this weird place by Glory, apparently on purpose because Connor asked for her. Sam, apparently on accident, but that was a definite, but still seemed likely since no one was there to greet him like Connor was there for Faith. She was still rolling things around in her head when Connor clapped his hands and made a sarcastic comment.
Faith was going to answer Connor, tell them that she still wasn't ready to go with him. She needed to get things a little straighter in her head, maybe have some kind of a plan if she was going to meet Glory. The way Connor was acting had her on edge as well. It just wasn't right. But, he had said something earlier about needing help. Faith needed time to think. But, she didn't get the chance to say anything. Sam decided to up the ante and take matters into his own hands.
At the sound of Sam's voice she looked up to see the tall man holding his gun under Connor's chin. From the tone of his voice Faith could tell he was getting tired of waiting for answers. The problem, Faith knew, was that there probably really weren't a lot more answers right now. It was going to take some time to sort out. Faith didn't think Connor knew much more than what had already come to light either. Sighing heavily she slowly walked over to the two of them.
"OK... Come on now. Why don't we all just chill out for a minute here. We're all stuck in a situation that we don't want to be in. But, Sam... You're not going to get any information out of Connor if you blow his fucking head off."
Faith rolled her neck, flexing the muscles and feeling the bones pop from the tension that had been building up. Another deep breath in that she let out in a huff as she turned her attention to Connor.
"Look, Connor. If you were me, you know I can't just go with you right now. Glory is... Glory is bad news and I know something is going on... But, I need some time to breathe, a serious fucking drink and some time to let this sink in. And... I think the big fella here could use some time to sort things out as well. You acting all fan boy over Glory is not helping us."
Faith didn't know how Connor was going to react. She knew he wouldn't be happy with that gun jammed into his face. She could see it in his eyes. The situation was volatile enough as it was. Everyone just needed to try and pull things back into perspective if they were going to figure things out. Faith couldn't help but let out a little chuckle, it probably seemed odd to the two men. But... here it was Faith, being the one trying to diffuse a situation. That was certainly a turn of events from the norm.
