This is a tad late, but I was running around doing stuff all day today, so I couldn't get on here until now.
If you've turned on the TV or browsed around the Internet, you know Corey Haim has passed away. Personally, I'm a fan and have always been a fan and I'm going to be majorly bummed out about this for a while.
Since The Lost Boys is a part of this board's fandom, the thought crossed my mind that I might not be the only Corey Haim fan hanging around. So, I figured I'd start a Corey Haim thread. This is just a place where anyone who wants to can discuss Corey, his career, his death, or just their thoughts and feelings on related subjects. You can also post articles, photos, graphics and videos - just make sure not to stretch the board.
If people have different opinions, that's to be expected. Feel free to discuss and debate back and forth, but please keep things respectful. There's no need to argue with one another, and this is not a Corey bashing thread. If you're not a fan, that's okay, just respect the fact that some of us are and try not to get too negative about it.
And if you don't want to reply to this thread, that's cool too. I'll admit this is me partially feeling the need to say something about it.
Personally, I can't say I'm shocked that Corey's passed. The past ten years or so had been rocky for him, health-wise. But just because it wasn't a complete shock, that doesn't make it any less upsetting. I grew up watching Corey Haim's movies - The Lost Boys, Silver Bullet, License to Drive, Dream a Little Dream, and many others. I totally watched both seasons of The Two Coreys, and Lost Boys 2 and was hoping Corey Haim would get his career going again. It's sad that he didn't get a chance to pull his life back together.
I am going to be playing his character, Sam, from The Lost Boys - I was planning on bringing him in fairly soon, but it may take me a bit longer now due to the circumstances. But, he will be ripped into Glory's dimension once I'm up for it, so if anyone wants to plot with him ahead of time just shoot me a Connor PM.
And on a lighter note, here's one of my favorite Sam clips.
Paul Mitchell Shampoo - around 8 dollars.
Standard Hair Comb - 3 dollars.
Boom Box - Considerably more expensive.
Sam's Reaction to discovering his big brother's moonlighting as a bloodsucker....
Priceless.
