Current Year: 2005

Alliance: Good…mostly

Sub-Species: Witch/Wicca
Powers and Abilities: Willow’s a technical genius when it comes to computers, hacking and robotics. She’s also a skilled and extremely powerful practitioner of spells/magick and can even use her powers to fly. Willow also has the really cool ability to heal herself and others at will. She has meager vampire slaying abilities for, of course, she is no Slayer, but she has an ample supply of good ol’ fashioned brain power.
Physical Appearance
Height: 5’5’’
Weight/Build: about 120 lbs with a slime, athletic frame.
Eye Color: Emerald
Hair Color: Mahogany red
Attire:
Normal Willow: Willow’s attire changes throughout the years to mirror her personality. Not only her clothes, but also her hairstyle changes as well. She is sometimes nerdy, sometimes sexy, sometimes confident and sometimes shy. She seems to have a penchant for fluffy sweaters and peculiar hats, too.
She has gone through many looks, but currently assumes a more mature, tame look. Her hair is also a bit longer than it was in past years, suggesting that she has finally adjusted to being an adult.
Dark Willow: When Willow is consumed by black magic, she inadvertently takes on a goth look. Dark Willow can be identified by her black hair, black eyes, and numerous veins over her face. She sometimes resumes this appearance when her powers are pushed to their limits.
Light Willow: While performing the spell to activate the potential Slayers, Willow’s hair briefly turns white, contrasting the benevolent intent behind this spell against the black magic performed by Dark Willow.

Personality
Describe:. Willow's demeanor is set more to a demure tone than most of those around her. At first being timid, she broke out of her shell the more she spent time with Buffy. Willow aides to the help of her friends, at times with a bit of reluctancy but caring deeply for them, throws herself into the fray every time. Her magicks aid her in that as well. The girl is sweet, gentle and caring, confident and strong-willed. She is a very friendly and understanding person, but is not afraid to be tough.
Likes:
- Tara
- Magick
- Learning
Dislikes:
- Political Injustice
- Singing
- Frogs
“Fatal Flaw”:. Ironically, the element that gives her power also corrupts her. Willow needs to watch her magick use, for if she uses too much, she begins to be blinded by it, eventually leading to dark/black magick.
History
In her early years at Sunnydale High School, Willow was a shy, naïve nerd with a light, risqué sense of humor. A member of the Math, Science, and Computer clubs, she was the person to go to for tutoring help. Willow was often ridiculed by her more popular classmates, including cheerleaders Cordelia Chase and Harmony Kendall. She had a hopeless crush on her lifelong friend Xander Harris, who ignored her to pursue his equally hopeless crush on Buffy Summers, the Slayer. Willow soon became Buffy's best friend, and upon learning that she was actually the Slayer, dedicated herself to aiding her friend in the battle against evil.
Although Willow was at first useful to the Scooby Gang mostly through her computing and hacking skills, in her junior year she began to develop an interest in spells and witchcraft. She also became more assertive, leading the Scoobies in Buffy's absence. After she discovered Xander kissing Cordelia, a heartbroken Willow decided to move on, starting a romantic relationship with Daniel “Oz” Osbourne, a guitarist in the local band Dingoes Ate My Baby. She continued to date him even after the revelation that he was a werewolf.
When Jenny Calendar, a computer science teacher and technopagan who Willow admired, was murdered by Buffy's vampire boyfriend Angelus, Willow agreed to teach her classes for the rest of the year. During that time, she went through her former favorite teacher's belongings and began to dabble in magick, eventually performing the Ritual of Restoration to re-ensoul Angel.
At the dawn of her Senior year of high school, Willow continued to blossom through witchcraft and her relationship with Oz. Joining a coven with fellow magick-users Amy Madison and Michael Czajak, Willow became the victim of a witch-hunt led by Buffy's mother who formed a group called Mothers Opposed to the Occult (MOO). However, it was revealed that they were under the influence of a demon who impersonated two witch-victims; Buffy slayed the demon, and the spell was broken. At about this time, she and Xander discovered a growing attraction for each other, despite the fact that both of them were in other relationships.
While being held hostage by Spike, Willow and Xander shared a kiss, believing that they would never escape Spike alive. To their dismay, they were caught in the act by Oz and Cordelia, who had come to rescue them. Although Cordelia broke up with Xander for good, Oz and Willow eventually managed to work things out.
Tired of being "old reliable", Willow aided former vengeance demon Anya Jenkins in a spell, and unwittingly released her own vampire counterpart from an alternate universe. She was shocked to discover that her vampire counterpart exhibited homosexual tendencies, a foreshadowing to her own lesbian relationships in the future.
Despite being accepted by several colleges, including Harvard, Yale, and Oxford, Willow decided to attend UC Sunnydale so that she could continue fighting the "good fight" with Buffy. Moving across town to UC Sunnydale, Willow and Buffy became roommates in Room 214 in Stevenson Hall.
When Oz left town after he cheated on Willow with another werewolf, a devastated Willow cast a spell to have her will done, and accidentally endangered her friends' lives in the process. She joined the campus Wicca group, a disappointing experience but for the presence of serious witch Tara Maclay. After discovering each other's magick, they became friends, lovers, and later soulmates. Oz returned after gaining control over his wolf-side with hopes of continuing his relationship with Willow. After some serious consideration, and coming out to Buffy, Willow chose Tara over Oz.
Willow's power increased at a dramatic rate. Her relationship with Tara was strengthened when she discovered how Tara rose above her family's abusive lies. However, they argued when Tara voiced some concerns at how powerful Willow had become over the past few months. Shortly afterwards, Tara was "brain-sucked" by the hell-goddess Glory, and left in an insane, babbling state.
Enraged and grief-stricken, Willow ignored Buffy's warnings and attacked Glory full force in her own home, but was ultimately defeated. Willow almost got herself killed after she spat directly in Glory's face in a show of pure spite, but Buffy arrived just in time to stop her. When Buffy later went into a catatonic state, Willow magickally entered her mind and freed her, assuring her that they will find a way to defeat Glory. In the final fight against Glory, Willow managed to slow her down by restoring Tara's mind, reuniting with her lover. However, Buffy was forced to sacrifice herself to save the life of her sister, Dawn.
Willow’s immense magickal skill first peaked when she led Tara, Xander, and Anya in the act of resurrecting Buffy. Willow later became addicted to using magick afterwards, and briefly got into an argument with Tara over it. She subsequently used magick to erase all memory of the fight from Tara's mind.
After a demon's musical spell led to Buffy revealing that she had been in Heaven and not Hell as they had originally believed, Willow became guilt-ridden over costing her best friend eternal happiness (later she remarked that she had known that Buffy was in Heaven all along, but simply wanted her friend back). She suggested using magic to erase Buffy's memories of Heaven, leading to yet another argument with Tara. Not wanting to lose Tara, Willow vowed to not use magick for a week, but subsequently went back on her word and cast a spell to make Buffy and Tara forget about the negative aspects of what her spells on them had done. It backfired, and gave the entire Scooby Gang, herself included, severe amnesia. When the spell was broken, Tara promptly dumped Willow.
Willow finally fell over the edge; she finally managed to transform Amy back into a human, and Amy began taking her to Rack, a sorcery/drug dealer. However, while going back to his place, Willow took Dawn with her and ultimately caused a car accident that landed Dawn in the hospital.
After that, Willow finally faced her problem and decided to stop using magick altogether. She cut Rack and Amy out of her life. Sometime later, Willow and Tara reconciled. When Tara was murdered by Warren Mears, however, a grief-stricken Willow unleashed the dark energies once more, and her vengeance reached a climax when she used magick to flay Warren alive.
Willow absorbed volumes of magick as she pursued Jonathan Levinson and Andrew Wells, Warren's surviving accomplices, turning against her friends in the process. Andrew Wells compared her to Dark Phoenix and later refered to her as Dark Willow. She ultimately absorbed so much power that she was overcome by all the pain she sensed in the world. She attempted to trigger the apocalypse to end it all, but was thwarted by Xander who, out of love, refused to leave her alone, regardless of what she had done or was about to do. This caused Willow to break down over her actions (partially because she had absorbed power from Giles that put her back in touch with her true emotions and feelings) and finally grieve for Tara.
Willow was forced to deal with her magickal nature and her place in the universe after some time in England with Giles. She slowly regained control of her powers and began a relationship with Potential Slayer Kennedy. After their first kiss, Willow found herself transforming into Warren, the result of a hex placed on her by a vengeful Amy. Kennedy saved her by helping her come to terms with Tara's death and move on.
Soon afterwards, Willow battled the being later known as Jasmine, and restored Angel's soul for the second time. During the fight against the First Evil, Willow was able to overcome her dark side and use her powers for good again, changing the rules for the entire Slayer line.
The Hellmouth was destroyed and Potentials all across the world were awakening. It was only a matter of time before the Dark was vanquished for good.
Or so she thought.
Additional Information
Hometown: Sunnydale, CA
Vehicle: Willow prefers to walk or to carpool with one of the other Scoobies. Or…if it’s a long way, flying comes in handy (and that's not the airplane kind of flying, by the way).
