"Ah," Shinji nodded, walking quickly towards the doors. Shinji frowned as the doors resisted slightly. Locked.
He took a breath, making sure to hide his face and hands in the shadows as stained glass-like patterns drew along his skin as he carefully tapped into his Fangire blood. He didn't like doing it like this, using Kiva was safer, but the fraction of increased strength he got from his grandmother Maya's blood was enough for him to break the lock holding the doors closed. He pushed them open, withdrawing his Fangire marks, hoping Buffy didn't see them as he held them open. "Which way to the nurses office?" he asked, looking back into the darkness, wondering if Kivat had found a car near by.

Dawn breathed heavily as she curled up slightly being held up. She opened her eyes a bit noticing the back of Shinji before blacking out again while she heard Buffy, “We should… We need to stick together.”
Dawn shook her head. Stick together.....with that bat thing....why am I so exhausted... She gasped a bit as she was moved slightly. She felt herself barely holding on as she tried with all her might to keep awake. "Buff....what's happening..."
She breathed heavier as she looked over at Shinji as the locks broke. She shook her head more as she muttered, "Why am I always the one getting sick or hurt.....it's not fair." She started to cough a bit as she shivered.

Buffy stood, holding Dawn in her arms as Shinji approached the doors. She didn’t know what was happening to Dawn, but it felt like she was holding a doll in her arms. A limp, lifeless doll.
No. She’s not lifeless, she reminded herself. She’s just sick or something. You’ll figure it out. She’ll be okay.
“Buff… what’s happening?”
Buffy tried to smile down at Dawn, hoping she looked reassuring instead of scared out of her mind.
“Shh. It’ll be okay, Dawn. Just stay calm. Don’t worry.”
She heard the doors open and she turned to see Shinji had opened them.
“Why am I always the one getting sick or hurt,” Dawn muttered. “It’s not fair.”
Buffy carried her toward the school’s entrance and gave a little smirk.
“Okay, drama queen, let’s not forget all the icky stuff that’s happened to me. Remember the whole ‘aspect of the demon’ that almost made me crazy? No fun.”
Her tone sounded a lot lighter than her mood. She was genuinely worried about her sister and she didn’t know what was happening or what she was supposed to do about it.
“Which way to the nurse’s office?” Shinji asked.
Buffy worked her way past Shinji as he held the door open, taking care not to bang Dawn’s head or feet on anything. Once they’d shuffled inside, she stood in the lobby for a moment, trying to get her bearings.
“Uh… This way, I think. It’s been a while since I’ve been here,” she admitted.
She started walking down a corridor she hoped would lead them to the nurse’s office.

Shinji nodded, following behind her, thankful she hadn't noticed his markings. "Will she be alright?" he asked. though he didn't know her all that well, he still held some concern. His uncle blamed his soft heart he claimed came from his father. Shinji had no problem with that fact, his father Wataru was a good man.
As long as you didn't make him mad.
"Hopefully Kivat will report back with some details on transport," he told her. "Then perhaps we can find some answers.
With Kivat The small Bat Clan member fluttered above the town, eyes on the look out for a car. But it had to be a good one. After all, he'd made a bad impression on the two girls and he needed to make up for it.
'Too slow. Too ugly. What in the world is that junk heap and why would you drive it? No... No... BINGO!' He flew into the window of a Ford Mustang, checking it quickly. 'Plenty of room. Yosha! He flew out, heading for hte high school. Car found. Now to hope one of hte girls had a license.

Dawn coughed slightly heavy as she watched Buffy try to keep a straight face. "Was it hot when you came through the weird portal thingy...." She let out a sigh as she noticed Buff making jokes, "I remember....heck besides I'm not a drama queen."
She glanced as her head was close to a door frame but missed. She tensed up feeling herself drifting to sleep and shook her head. "I could so go for a coffee right now..." When they walked down the hall, Dawn glanced at Shinji noticing his concern about her well being. She mumbled a bit as she spoke, "I will be fine I just feel sick...who knows maybe a smorre and a bunch of junk food before being suck through some warp was not the best idea...." She tried to point as she noticed the nurse's office, "Buff....we are almost there its that door.....well was that door..."

The fact that Dawn was still coherent and conscious was a slight relief, but she didn't like how hot and limp she felt in her arms.
"Hopefully Kivat will report back with some details on transport," Shinji said as Buffy moved down the hall. "Then perhaps we can find some answers."
Buffy nodded. They had a plan, or at least the beginning of something that was kind of like a plan. This was good. Now if she could remember where the nurse's office was. It was so weird to be back at her old high school, and it felt like it had been a long time since she'd been there, another lifetime.
As she approached what she thought was the right door, she was relieved to peek through the small window above the door knob and see the familiarity of the darkened nurse's office.
"This is it. Dawn, can you stand up?"
She made a movement to set Dawn back on her feet, still holding onto her in case she couldn't stand.

Shinji moved forward, holding the door open so the girls could move through. this entire situation was out of his league, so following their lead would be a good idea, except they only seemed to have the barest idea of what was happening, which led to a case of 'the blind leading the blind'. His natural instinct to protect others (most of his 'family' blamed this on his father, who in turn had blamed it on the grandfather he'd never met. His grandmather had agreed on that) was the only thing keeping him from exploring this place and trying to get answers on his own. He really needed to find a phone and try and contact his 'family'. Perhaps then they could figure out what was going on and how he'd gotten here.

Dawn shook her head as she leaned on Buff taking a deep breathe as she nods, "Why am I so exhausted." She glances over at Buff as she mumbles looking at Shinji, "Thanks again Red ranger." She smirked a bit making the joke. She took a deep breathe as she closed her eyes resting, "Sis I just want to lay down please can I just take a nap."

Shinji blinked momentarily. Red Ranger? Like those 'Sentai' teams that seemed to crop up back home. Well, he guessed his armour WAS red, but it most certainly didn't look a lot like spandex. He wasn't sure to be insulted or honoured, so he settled with a low mumbled 'thank you' as he started checking cupboards for a blanket of some kind. something was definately wrong with the girl. He just hoped Kivat hurried finding transport.
