The night was calm, the air was cool. In front of the newly re-created Sunnydale High, all seemed normal.
Well, as normal as it got in a world created by a Hell God.
And as quickly as a flash of blue light, the quiet was interrupted by the roar of a motorcycle as two figures slid to a stop just outside the school, neither one realizing they weren't where they had started.
the first creature was a yellowy-green, though in the light of the street lamps, it's skin shimmered like glass, it's cat-like features shadowed as it flexed its hands.
the second figure was mounted on an orange, high-tech looking motorbike and wore a black body suit with armour over it, ranging from silver gloves and boots to the red and silver vest like chest plate. His shoulder's were covered in batwing shaped padding which seemed to be chained down, with another chain wrapped around his right thigh. The odd, bat-based helmet with yellow eyes completed it, making him look odd yet, in the same way, slightly intimidating.
'Oi, Shinji! Hurry up and finish him off, I'm hungry!' The voice came from his belt, which one could see was shapped like a bat, complete with face and moving mouth.
Yes, it was alive. Very much so. And sometimes didn't know when to shut-up.
The figure, Shinji, revved the bike and charged at the monster, slicing past and ramming a fist into it as he went past, sliding and turning 180 degrees to face him again, charging once more only to stop close enough to hit the creature with his rear tire as he swung it around and sped away again before sliding, once more, to a stop.
He reached to his right side and pulled out a strange looking whistle with a clear bottom and a red bat shape on top. 'Yosha, (Alright)' the bat belt buckle said as the whistle was placed in it's mouth. 'WAKE UP!'
A red moon appeared behind Shinji as he revved his bike once more, charging for the last time at his foe. He jerked the bike up, sending it into the air as the bat blew the whistle, causing a short, five note tune to play from it. Shinji jumped up, standing on the bike for a moment before lauching up, extending his leg into a jump kick. The chains around his leg shattered as the silver along his thigh burst open, revealing red wings and three green orbs. As his foot impacted, the orbs gave a brief glow as he pushed back, landing on his bike as wings closed nad coming to a sliding stop as the creature shattered, leaving a glowing orb of energy that floated up and vanished.
'Wait, where's CastleDran?' The bat said. 'Shinji...'
"Kivat," Shinij said finally looking around. "I don't think we're in Tokyo anymore."
'Nani? (What)'

Buffy frowned as she walked down a long, familiar hallway she hadn’t seen in years. She never thought she’d see it again after graduation day when the high school had been reduced to rubble. It was oddly surreal walking through the main hallway again, and everything felt smaller somehow.
She tried to wrap her head around what the hell was going on here. Whistler, one of those Messenger guys from the Powers That Be, had poofed her into the basement of her old high school, and told her Glory was active again in some other dimension. Buffy had no idea how either of those things was possible, but apparently she had to figure that out.
As she approached the double doors that led out to the front of the school she stopped and peered out the window. Was that a flying motorcycle? She didn’t quite see enough for her mind to process what was happening. All she saw was a motorcycle, something shatter into a million pieces, and what looked like a robot landing on the motorcycle. She blinked as a ball of energy faded and disappeared.
“What the hell…?”
She shoved open one of the doors and stepped out into the night.
“Okay,” she said as she approached the humanoid-looking robot thing. “I’m having a really bad night, so if you’re some evil robot thing plotting to end the world, do me a favor and tell me now so I can kill you and move on.”

'Oi, Shinji, what's she saying?' Kivat asked in Japanese. Shinji shook his head as his armour vanished, glad Uncle Taiga and Shima-san had insisted he learn English.
"i'm not a robot," he said pointedly. "I am... Kiva. My name is Shinji Kurenai and I'm from Tokyo. I have no intention of ending the world. I spend most of my time fighting to save humans, why would I wish to destroy it?" he climbed off his bike slowly, unsure of who this woman was. "Could you tell me where I am? The last I knew I was chasing a Fangire through the streets of Tokyo and then I'm here," this whole situation confused him. He didn't even know where here was. Also the fact that CastleDran hadn't shown up to eat that Fangire's soul troubled him. It meant the creature could reform, or merge with others of it's kind to form a Sabbat, a giant chandelier like creature. Without CastleDran or even ShooDran, they'd be in trouble. He hoped this woman, whoever she was, knew what was going on. "Might I know your name, miss?"
'Oi, Shinji! What's going on? who is she? What did you just say?' Kivat asked in Japanese. Shinji quickly explained what he'd asked her while not taking his eyes off her. He didn't know what was going on, but he was going to find out.

Dawn tensed up as she felt herself being sucked past a bunch of quick lights and wind gushing past her. She tensed up as she soon saw Old Sunnydale High....wait wasn't that swallowed up and being rebuilt.... She screamed as she felt the lightning and thunder flashing and roaring through the hole as it spat her out.
Dawn hit the ground hard as she landed in the inside the flower bushes where she use to sit. She shook her head a bit as she sat up slowly looking around, "Hello....." She glanced around noticing the silence and the wind before hearing a voice. She stood up slowly as she brushed off the dirt feeling a sting on her arm. "Stupid branch." She shook her head a bit as she rubbed the minor cut before wandering towards the doors of the building.

'Mm?' Kivat flew away from the two as he heard something in the bushes. 'Nan da? (What the...?) Oi, Shinji! We have another one over here!' The bat-like creature flew around the new comer, babbling in Japanese. 'Oi, girl, what's your name? Who are you? Do you know where we are? Ora, ora, come on, Shinji's waiting, let's go!' The last bit was said in heavily accented English as he flew behind her, pushing her towards the other two. Haiyaku! (Hurry up!)'
"Kivat, doshu da? (What is it? or What's wrong?)" Shinji called out, not taking his eyes of the other woman. "We should go and see what he has found, miss...?" He prompted for her name again, not moving, letting her be the one to make the first move.

Buffy wrinkled her brows and looked around, hearing something that sounded an awful lot like a voice, except she had no clue what it was saying or where it was coming from. She blinked as the robot thing changed. Okay, so it wasn't actually a robot thing - just a guy in a suit, which seemed to have folded in on itself.
"I'm not a robot," the guy said. "I am... Kiva. My name is Shinji Kurenai and I'm from Tokyo. I have no intention of ending the world. I spend most of my time fighting to save humans, why would I wish to destroy it?"
Buffy was still stuck on the "Kiva" thing. Who or what was a Kiva? It took her mind a second to register everything else - Suit Guy's name was Shinji and he was from Tokyo, and apparently he fought to save humans. She watched him warily as he climbed off the bike.
"Could you tell me where I am? The last I knew I was chasing a Fangire through the streets of Tokyo and then I'm here. Might I know your name, miss?"
Buffy rubbed her forehead. She was feeling a headache coming on, and the confusion was not helping.
"I'm Buffy," she said. "I'm sorry, chasing a what?"
She frowned and looked around. There was that voice thing again. What the hell was that? And where was it coming from? There was a rustling noise and Buffy tensed. And did something just fly by her head? That voice was going again. Japanese! Something was speaking Japanese? It faded and Buffy stood there with a puzzled expression on her face.
"Please tell me you hear that," she said. "You can hear that, right?"
"Kivat, doshu da?" Shinji called. "We should go and see what he has found, miss...?"
Buffy sighed. "Summers. Buffy Summers. And let's not do the 'Miss' thing. I'm not sixteen anymore."
She started walking in the direction of the babbling voice. She squinted at the little flying thing. "Is that a bat?"
And then her gaze moved to the confused-looking girl stumbling forward in front of the bat thing. Buffy stopped walking and her eyes widened.
"Dawn?"
She took hurried steps toward her younger sister, who should've been home studying or something. She forgot for a second that Shinji was there.
"Dawn, what are you doing here?"
Okay. So, according to Whistler, she was in an alternate version of Sunnydale. This Shinji guy had been in Tokyo, and now he was there... with some robotic bat thing. And Dawn? What the hell was going on here?

Dawn tensed up as she felt the small creature flapping and shoving into her back. She stumbled a bit as she screamed and turned swatting at it. "What the hell type of demon is this.." She shook her head as she noticed it flapping around and grabbed a loose brick off the small wall near the benches. "Push me one more time and I swear you won't fly again!" She became silent hearing her name being called. Buffy's shirt was clearly covered in dirt and what looked like to be smudges of melted chocolate. The long black silk skirt was slightly ripped at the bottom and her arm was scratched from something. She glanced over noticing her sister as she tensed up, "This isn't what it looks like I was just making a smore in the microwave and uh...." She shook her head a bit as she looked at Buff's clothes she wore torn and covered in dirt. "It was that weird black hole's fault not mine." She felt the bat pushing at her more as she stumbled closer to Buff dropping the brick as she snapped, "CUT IT OUT!" She turned backing up within Buffy's reach as she watched the bat, "Buff....your the slayer can't you kill the rodent.."

"I'm Buffy," she said. "I'm sorry, chasing a what?"
"A Fangire," he repeated. She didn't know what a Fangire was? Well, okay, they didn't seem to be spreading much outside of Japan, the ones that caused trouble anyway, but still, he thought they'd at least have showed up on the news or something. "A creature made of staing glass that feeds on human life energy, draining them dry until only a corpse of glass remains. They..." Kivat flew off, talking about hearing something in the bushes, then started yelling about finding someone else.
"Please tell me you hear that," she said. "You can hear that, right?"
"Yes, I can hear that," Shinji answered, looking slightly amused. It was a standard reaction whenever someone et Kivat. He almost wished he could introduce Buffy to Tatsulot. "That is my partner. Kivat, doshu da?" Shinji called. "We should go and see what he has found, miss...?"
Buffy sighed. "Summers. Buffy Summers. And let's not do the 'Miss' thing. I'm not sixteen anymore."
"I see," he said, following her lead as she began to walk towards Kivat. "Apologies, Buffy-san. I meant no disrespect."
"Is that a bat?" Shinji smiled.
"After a fashion," he answered. "Kivat-Bat the 4th, my partner."
'Yuroshuku!' (Nice to meet you) Kivat said, giving the girl he was pushing another shove towards them.
"Kivat, stop pushing her like th..."
"Dawn?" Shinji watched as Buffy took a step forward towards the girl. So they knew each other. "Dawn, what are you doing here?" And apparently Dawn wasn't supposed to be here. He remained silent as Dawn began spinning (or trying) an explanation on how she got here as Kivat gave her one last push. He sighed quietly as the girl turned on his partner violently. "Kivat, koi! (Come)"
'Hai, hai! (Yes sir, basically)' Kivat said, flying over to hover behind Shinji's shoulder.
"Gomen... Sorry," Shinjis said, bowing slightly. "He's... excitable."
'And hungry!'
"And hungry," Shinji translated. "And doesn't really speak English."

Buffy took in her sister’s appearance. She didn’t look hurt, but she definitely looked less than quaffed. Is that my shirt…? The thought briefly crossed Buffy’s mind, but it was replaced quickly with worry and frustration. Buffy didn’t know much about this situation, but she did know that the Sunnydale she was standing in was not the Sunnydale she’d spent seven long years fighting evil in. She’d been pulled into an alternate dimension by an errand boy for the Powers That Be, which, theoretically, meant none of the people she knew should have been here. Is this my Dawn? Or a different Dawn? Could there be an alternate version of Dawn in this universe? Buffy frowned as Dawn got all defensive and started talking about making a s’more in the microwave. As they both looked at Dawn’s ensemble, Buffy sighed. Yep. Definitely my clothes. “It was that weird black hole’s fault not mine,” Dawn said quickly. Buffy frowned. Weird black hole? Before she could ask Dawn to clarify, the robot bat thing shoved her again and Dawn yelled at it. “Buff….you’re the slayer can’t you kill the rodent..”Buffy gave Dawn a warning look and glanced at Shinji. She didn’t know if he even knew who or what a slayer was, but she hadn’t exactly wanted to advertise her slayer status just yet. Thankfully, Shinji called off his bat-partner and it stopped pestering Dawn. “Gomen… Sorry. He’s… excitable,” Shinji said. Buffy couldn’t help smirking slightly as if to say ‘You think?’ She’d never seen anything like this Kivat thing before, and so far it didn’t seem dangerous. Just annoying. Will and Andrew would have a field day with that thing… she thought. Buffy sighed. She needed to wrap her head around this fast so she could start figuring out a plan… for what? What was it she was even doing here? “Okay, I need to think for a minute,” she said. “Um… What does that thing eat?” she asked Shinji, tilting her head curiously. If that thing drinks blood…

'Sushi!' Kivat announced. Shinji just rolled his eyes.
"And anything else he can get his wings on," Shinji said with a smirk. He looked at the other one - Dawn, he thought her name was - and bowed slightly at hte waist. "I apologise for his actions. I hope he didn't hurt you."
'Who me?' Kivat asked innocently.
"So," Shinji continued, looking around. thge streets were empty, and thei8r seemed to be no sign of life. Absently he checked his cell phone. No signal. Great. "Do either of you know what is going on here?" Nothing was making sense, apparently CastleDran couldn't reach them and they appeared to be the only people here. Things definately weren't normal.
Not that they ever were considering his family.

Dawn shook her head a bit. She glanced at Buffy looking at her expressions as she frowned. "I know that look...." She looked down a bit as she muttered hearing Shinji apologize for his bat.
What the hell I was never attacked by bats before...
Dawn shook her thoughts out as she noticed her sister's clothes all dirty and ripped. She walked over to Buff slowly as she spoke softly, "Sis....where are we....this is not Sunnydale right..I mean.." She took a deep breathe as she shook her head.
Great are we in some whacked out dimension that is exactly like ours.
She rubbed her arm frowning more as she finally stood next to her sister. "Buff...can we uh go somewhere to rest...I mean is our home still here? I just feel exhausted."
Dawn was slouching a bit almost leaning on Buff. It was as if she was drained of her energy after going through that gateway or portal. Whatever that hole was it clearly took its toll on Dawn.

Buffy heard the bat say ‘sushi.’ At least that meant the same thing in English as it did in Japanese. Shinji bowed respectfully to Dawn and apologized for the bat. Buffy had to admit, that was kind of gentlemanly of him. The bat said something in protest that Buffy couldn’t understand before Shinji continued. “So…”He looked around and pulled out a cell phone. Buffy wondered if phones would work in this place. It was an alternate dimension, but that didn’t mean technology was null and void, did it? “Do either of you know what is going on?”Buffy sighed. “Um…” “Sis….where are we…”Buffy looked over at Dawn, who looked like… well, she looked like she’d just been sucked into some creepy alternate dimension and tossed into a bush. “This is not Sunnydale right..I mean..”She sighed and Buffy felt a pang of guilt. How the hell had she ended up here? Whistler had come for Buffy, but who had brought Dawn in? And why had they brought her? Glory made this place. Dawn was the key to open other dimensions. Is that why she’s here now? That doesn’t make any sense. Why would Glory need the key if she already… “Buff…can we go somewhere to rest”Buffy turned her head sharply, startled out of her thoughts. “…I mean is our home still here? I just feel exhausted.”Dawn did look pretty drained. Buffy put an arm instinctively around her sister, letting her lean against her. Buffy felt a little weird, but her strength was still with her. “I don’t know,” she said. “I mean, if this is Sunnydale, our house should still be here, but…” Buffy looked around, wondering if they’d be able to find a car in the parking lot, and if it would work. Shinji’s motorcycle seemed to be functioning okay. Buffy was up for walking to their house, but she wasn’t sure about Dawn. “Dawn, do you think you can make it to the house?” she asked. “Maybe we should try to find a car. You know, one that we can all fit in.” She looked back toward the school’s entrance. “Or we could go inside. The Nurse’s office should still have those blue cot thingies in it, right? We could hang there until you’re feeling better, try to figure out a plan.” She looked from Dawn to Shinji, suddenly having no idea what they should do. It had taken a little while for what was happening to actually sink in. Now that it had hit her, she was terrified. Glory was not only back, but she and Dawn had just been sucked into her new playground. And she didn’t know what to think of this Shinji guy.

Shinji couldn't help but feel sorry for the younger of the two. She seemed to have even less an idea of what's going on than he did and she seemed to have taken the trip from wherever the two had started much harder than Buffy or herself. Buffy comment about transport gave him pause for thought. He could only fit one on his bike. If only he could get in contact with Jiro and the others at CastleDran...
"Kivat, see if you can find a working car," he said in Japanese. The mechanical bat-like being nodded in mid air (meaning his entire body basically bobbed where he was hovering).
'Yosh!' he said, flying off. 'I'll be right back!' Shinji nodded, turning back to Buffy and Dawn.
"Let's take shelter in the school then," he said, agreeing with Buffy's idea. "We can rest there until Kivat finds something to get us to your home," Buffy seemed concerned, the weight of... whatever the hell was going on had begun to hit her. His uncle, Shima-san and Nago-san had always drilled into him that being calm in an unfamiliar situation was most important. And this was definitely an unfamiliar situation. "If the two of you wish to rest, I can stand guard for a time," he suggested. He wouldn't be able to transform without Kivat, but there didn't seem to be a whole lot of people here to attack them, and the Bat-Clan member would come when called, as always. "Or you could explain to me what is going on. Perhaps we could figure out a way home together?"

Dawn started to doze off as she leaned on her sister. Her breathing became heavier as she tried to keep herself standing slightly collapsing against Buff. "I really don't feel so good..." She moaned a bit as she glanced over at the bat and to the school. "Buff...this isn't real right.."
Dawn was clearly losing it. As she used her sister for support she began to have her head hang. It was as if she lost something vital to her as she came through the warp.
Dawn shook her head as she had her eyes roll back slightly and completely collapsed unconscious. Her breathing was a bit fast and deep and her skin if touched was burning up.

“I really don’t feel so good…” Dawn moaned. “Buff… this isn’t real right..”
Buffy stroked her sister’s hair. “I don’t know,” she said honestly. “It’s going to be okay.”
However, she wasn’t so sure as she felt how hot Dawn’s forehead was. Her skin was clammy.
“Dawn, do you think you can make it to the house?” she asked. “Maybe we should find a car. You know, one that we can all fit in.”
Buffy looked around once more as Shinji sent his bat, Kivat, to find a car. Buffy wondered what was up with that thing, but now was not the time to ask. She needed to focus, keep her head straight and get Dawn somewhere safe.
She felt Dawn’s weight collapse against her and she gasped as she caught her and looked down at the girl’s sweating face. What was happening?
“Dawn? Dawn?” Buffy’s voice was filled with concern as she struggled awkwardly to hold her sister up.
Buffy nodded when Shinji agreed they should take shelter in the school.
“Good idea,” she said.
“If the two of you wish to rest, I can stand guard for a time,” Shinji said. “Or you could explain to me what is going on. Perhaps we could figure out a way home together?”
Buffy grunted as she picked Dawn up in her arms and she shook her head at Shinji.
“We should… We need to stick together.” She struggled to keep the panic out of her voice. “Help me get her inside?”
She nodded to the double doors, the main entrance into the school, hoping they hadn’t locked behind her.
((OOC: Dawn, in the future, please make sure to pay attention to everyone’s posts in a thread. You kind of completely ignored Shinji’s post here, which made it hard for me to account for both of your posts in my reaction. You’re not in trouble or anything, just be careful in the future.))
