Dawn, dressed in a sports bra and tight jeans walked across the hall quickly opening the door. She dropped a note with the words, "Out on patrol, won't be back till morning" on the floor as she stepped into her sister's room. Dawnie smiled walking quickly over to the closet taking out a few pieces of clothes and placing them in front of her while looking in the mirror. "Oh yeah this will do." She slide the white dress shirt on and quickly changed into the long black silk skirt before putting the other clothes back into the closet. Dawn sat on the bed before glancing over at the chest and opening it taking out an axe. She smiled as she began swinging it around like a child, "Take that...and that and...AH!" As her hand's slipped she let out a breathe noticing the Axe stuck in the floor. Dawn yanked it out quickly and moved the chest over the crack before putting the weapon away. "Alright....well that is bad..." She shrugged a bit after calming down and went down the stairs placing a gram cracker, marshmallow, and piece of chocolate into the microwave. "Just what's needed before heading to the Bronze." She yawned waiting as she leaned against the counter.

The funny thing about trans-dimensional travel: there are side-effects. Most of ‘em aren’t pleasant. Like this one… You see, Dawn Summers wasn’t always human. She used to be this mystical key that could break down the walls between dimensions. That’s some serious, end-of-the-world magic right there. When the Hell-God, Glory got kicked out of her home dimension, she started looking for this key, thinking it was her way home and not really caring that it would end the world in the process. Because the end of the world’s kind of a drag for everybody, this order of monks made the key into a human and stuck her with the Slayer as her little sister so she’d protect it. This was one of those plans that looked really good on paper, but was just a disaster when you tried to actually pull it off. Glory took Dawn and there was this ritual. There was blood involved, lots of death – it wasn’t pretty. The only way to end the ritual was to stop the blood that started it from flowing, which was Dawn’s. And just when it looked like the world was about to come to an end, Buffy figured something out: she and Dawn were connected. See, they weren’t just sisters, they were bound. It had something to do with their blood – I’m not really clear on the details. But, long story short, Buffy died in Dawn’s place and stopped the ritual. Don’t worry, she came back later, but that’s another story. Now, here’s Dawn, just hanging out at home, doing her thing. Poor kid has no idea she’s about to get sucked into some alternate dimension. You see, her sister just got recruited by the Powers That Be to help stop another end-of-the-world scenario involving Glory. She got pulled into Glory’s dimension like she was supposed to. But, since, mystically speaking, Dawn’s sort of an extension of Buffy, there were complications. There was a bright flash of light and suddenly she was standing in the courtyard of old Sunnydale High School. Ooh, tough break. Sorry, kid. Dimensional travel’s not an exact science. If you'd like to do a thread with Buffy that would occur just after this, please PM Connor. If you'd like Dawn to do her own thing instead of running into Buffy, you're certainly free to do so. Welcome to the board and have fun!))
