Personality
Describe: Before Buffy was Called to be a Slayer, she was a typical high school girl. She was popular, she was a cheer leader and a prom queen, and she loved shopping and boys. However, at home disharmony between her parents made her upset, though she tried to hide it.
When Buffy was Called, and moved to Sunnydale with her mother after her parents’ divorce, Buffy’s personality changed. She became more conscious of others and more aware of the world around her.
Buffy has never really conformed to the traditional rules of a Slayer. She doesn’t really believe in tradition and she’s of the mind that people should change with the times, adapt, “live in the now.” She has respect for authority figures, but she’s not afraid to challenge them and even go against them to do what she believes is right.
Buffy is compassionate and genuinely cares about other people – whether they’re close to her or not. She wants everyone to be okay, and it’s her job to make sure that happens. Buffy reaches out to others, and she doesn’t give up on people… even when she should.
She’s headstrong and stubborn, and you can’t make her do anything she doesn’t want to do. She also has a very strong moral compass, and will always do the right thing regardless of what she may have to sacrifice to do it. She always puts others before herself, and has proven many times that she’s willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of the bigger picture.
Buffy has developed a strong maternal instinct, and feels very protective over her sister, Dawn, and other children.
Buffy makes friends easily, and doesn’t judge people until she gets to know them. Even then, she’s more likely to accept people for who they are than to write them off. Buffy works to keep her friendships, and will do anything to help her friends.
Buffy falls in love easily, and seeks comfort in others, even if the relationship might not be a good idea.
Buffy is strong, stubborn, and confident, and doesn’t take any sh**.

History
Buffy Summers was born on January 19th, 1981 to Hank and Joyce Summers in Los Angeles, California. She had a fairly normal childhood, and made friends easily. She did fairly well in school but she was always more interested in the social aspect of school than the academic side. By the time she reached high school, Buffy was popular, had lots of friends and had a date every weekend.
When she was fifteen and going to high school at Hemery High in L.A., a Watcher came to her and informed her of her destiny. She began secretly training as the Slayer while attempting to maintain her normal life. However, after she burned down her high school gymnasium while slaying vampires, Buffy was expelled from high school and she and her mother, Joyce, moved to Sunnydale following her parents’ divorce.
On Buffy’s first day at Sunnydale High, she met Cordelia Chase – someone who reminded Buffy of the type of person she’d been before her Calling. Cordelia wanted to take Buffy under her wing to recruit her into the popular crowd. However, Buffy was more drawn to outcasts Willow Rosenberg and Xander Harris and quickly befriended them, which earned her Cordelia’s scorn. Buffy was forced to reveal her true identity to Xander and Willow when her new Watcher, Giles, told her about the Harvest – a ritual being performed by a group of vampires requiring human sacrifices.
Buffy also met a mysterious man named Angel, a vampire with a soul, who tried to help and guide her. Buffy developed a crush on Angel before she knew of his true nature. Her feelings didn’t change once she learned he was a vampire, and the two developed a relationship.
Buffy was killed at the hands of The Master, a powerful vampire residing in a sunken church beneath Sunnydale. She was revived by Xander and successfully defeated The Master. As a result of her death, Kendra Young – a second slayer – was Called. After having sex with Angel, Buffy was shocked and hurt when his soul was lost and he reverted back to his evil self, Angelus. He teamed up with the vampire couple Spike and Drusilla, who he knew in the past, and the three of them tried to awaken the demon Acathla, which would suck the world into Hell. Buffy formed a shaky alliance with Spike and Willow was able to use a spell to restore Angel’s soul, but not before he opened the portal. Buffy was forced to kill him, and she left Sunnydale to move to L.A. for a brief period.
Upon her return to Sunnydale, a third Slayer, Faith Lehane, was Called after Kendra’s death at the hands of Drusilla. When Faith went Rogue and made an alliance with the mayor of Sunnydale, Buffy was forced to stab her, putting her into a coma. After preventing the mayor’s ascension, Buffy began her college career at UC Sunnydale. It was there that she met Riley Finn, a member of a secret organization called The Initiative. The two had a relationship and fought alongside one another until it was learned that Maggie Walsh, the organization’s leader, had created a Frankenstein-like monster, Adam. In the midst of all this, Faith awoke from her coma and used a mystical device to switch bodies with Buffy for a short time. Upon switching back, Faith was sent to prison.
Buffy’s sister, Dawn, was created from a mystical key with the ability to break down the walls of dimensions. Nevertheless, Buffy still considered Dawn her true sister. After Riley left town and Buffy’s mother died, she became a bit distant from her friends. When the hell god, Glory, made her presence known and was intent on finding the key (Dawn) and using it to open the walls of all dimensions, Buffy lost her confidence and didn’t think she could fight Glory. After kidnapping Dawn and performing a blood-letting ritual, Glory succeeded in her task, but was weakened by Buffy and her human host was killed by Giles. Buffy leaped into the open portal to close it, sacrificing herself to save Dawn.
Buffy was resurrected by Willow and friends, ripped out of Heaven to continue fighting. She turned to Spike for comfort and they had a secret relationship for a time. Buffy got a job at the new Sunnydale high and became aware of an evil force that was tracking down and killing Potential Slayers. She was reunited with Faith, who had escaped from prison to help protect the Potentials. Using a powerful weapon called the Scythe, Willow performed a spell that activated all the Potential Slayers, and Buffy and Faith led their new army into the Hellmouth to fight an old race of vampires. Spike sacrificed himself to close the Hellmouth, evaporating the vampire army by channeling energy from the sun through an amulet he wore. Buffy and her remaining friends escaped on a bus leading out of Sunnydale.
After that, Buffy was nomadic for a time, traveling to different places, fighting when she needed to, and trying to enjoy life.
